Cold Sore Cream

Aciclovir is an antiviral cold sore cream used to treat herpes simplex. It helps to relieve the symptoms of cold sores (sores of cold sores appear as a direct result of the environment outside), namely, sores on the lips, which may include fever, headaches, pain, and sometimes diarrhoea.

How to use

Aciclovir should be applied to the cold sore area before or after getting a herpes virus infection. Discuss your medical history before the use is taken.

Warnings

You should not use aciclovir if you are allergic to aciclovir, or if you have:

• herpes zoster (shingles)
• any other cold sore virus
• sores that are not on the lips or throat caused by a weakened immune system
• genital blisters or other lesions or conditions that need immediate medical attention
• recreational activities on the body
• minors who suffer from cold soregenes (due to exposure to natural or artificial sunlight)
• cold sores are contagious and should only be passed from person to person.
